Alba Rosa Viëtor Foundation is fortunate to be supported by various funds and foundations. We also welcome private donors who can benefit from tax benefits because we are an ANBI-registered foundation.
The aim of the Alba Rosa Vietor Foundation is to promote the musical legacy of Alba Rosa Vietor (1889-1979) – one of the few early female composers – by publishing her compositions and recordings, as stated in its statutes of the Foundation, in order to compose new music. To this end, a biennial composition competition for chamber music has been initiated since 2014. This competition took place in the context of the Alba Rosa Viva Festival and received great acclaim. The next competition will take place in 2023-2024 and the final will be on February 16, 2024 in Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ. It is our intention to organize the Alba Rosa Vietor Composition Competition every two years in the future.
The board members are not paid for their work for the foundation. However, they do receive compensation for the associated costs.
