Jack Frerer

Jack Frerer (1995) is an Australian composer of music for concerts and films, as well as an instrumentalist, producer and filmmaker, based in Manhattan. He currently studies composition with Robert Beaser and John Corigliano at The Juilliard School with the assistance of the Adrian Weller Scholarship and the Steuermann Memorial Prize. Jack has written pieces and arrangements for various ensembles and artists, and has had works performed in Australia, Europe and the US. In 2014, Jack won the first Matt Withers Young Australian Music Composition Competition, open to all Australian music students under the age of 30. Jack was a finalist for the ASCAP Morton Gould Award. As a producer, Jack has collaborated with bands and artists from a wide range of genres. Igor Coelho Marques (1988) grew up in his native Brazil. At the age of 18, he began studying composition at Brigham Young University in the United States. In 2013, he won first prize in BYU’s Mayhew Contest and graduated with honors. He then studied for two years with Morris Rosenzweig at the University of Utah, where he received his master’s degree. He also took master classes with Kaija Saariaho, Martin Bresnick, Jason Eckardt, Chaya Czernowin and Mark Applebaum. He currently studies composition at the University of Buffalo with Jeffrey Stadelman. Igor wrote works for orchestra, choir and chamber music ensemble in all kinds of settings. A number of his works have already been performed.
