Alba Rosa Viva! Festival 2022

The theme of the coming Alba Rosa Viva! Festival will be WERELDVROUWEN EN NIEUWE GRENSVERLEGGERS.

Six charismatic young musicians (Laetitia Gerards, soprano; Barbara Kozelj, mezzo soprano; Dana Zemtsov, viola; Ella van Poucke, cello; Lars Wouters van den Oudenweijer, clarinet and Anna Fedorova, piano) will present music by the female composers CalliopeTsoupaki, Ursula Mamlok, Lili Boulanger and Hanna Kulenty and also a world premiere Musing composed for the Alba Rosa Vietor Foundation by Nicoline Soeter.

They will also play the four shortlisted compositions for the Alba Rosa Vietor Composition Competition. The jury consists of the leading composers Willem Jeths ( chairman), Judith Weir, Calliope Tsoupaki and Hanna Kulenty, together with artistic leader Reinild Mees. The audience will select the winner of the Audience Prize.
